Magic Eye Video screenshot

In 2003, my friend Chris Haworth produced this animation for his Art degree show.  At the time I couldn’t see the illusion.  If you are unfamiliar with Magic Eye then this is what you must do:  Put your face against the screen and slightly blur your eyes, move your face slowly away from the screen (about 1-2 feet), focus your vision on an imaginary object that resides 1 foot behind the screen.. or just look at the reflection of your own eyes in the screen.  You should see an object emerge from the white noise.  I think the trick is to pause the video (link below) then press play once you have the image visualised.

Trust me, it does work!.. I can formulate the still image but it escapes me when the video is running.  Comment what you see if you master it!
